The Pardon Review Process
What Happens After You Apply
- Board Review: The Pardon Advisory Board carefully examines your application materials to determine if you meet the Governor's criteria for a hearing.
- Public Hearing: If selected, you will be invited to a public hearing to discuss your case, your rehabilitation, and your contributions to the community.
- Board Recommendation: Following the hearing, the Board votes and sends a formal recommendation to the Governor’s Office.
- Governor’s Decision: The Governor reviews the Board’s advice and makes the final decision to grant or deny the pardon.
